Hello again! We're still here... growing and changing every single day!
|
She LOVES to bounce
She is turning into an escape artist! She scoots the walker right up to her jumper and tries to pull herself out!
Even through the cold weather, we still try to get out of the house whenever we can!

She LOVES to people watch at the grocery store

She's still in her infant carrier so she doesn't have to wear a thick coat!

She loves going to Emily's basketball games!
Nora's 6 month check-up was last week and Tooter is getting so big! She is:
- 17 lbs (63%)
- 26.5 inches (67%)
- and her head 43 cm (85%) She has a giant head for that big brain of hers!
My supervisor made her a hat. So cute!
Miss Lenora
- Sits up unsupported, but leans and falls when she's reaching for toys! She can steady herself with her hand most of the time, but we put a boppy down just so she doesn't hurt that noggin!
- Loves to stand up, and can stand while leaning on a toy for a short amount of time!
- Scoots around the living room in her walker
- LOVES her bath time! My mom got her one of those mini bathtub inflatable ducks that you put in the big tub. It's the perfect size for her to sit up and play with her bath toys. She will sit in there until the water gets cold!
- Doesn't like to be on her belly still. She will reach for a toy while sitting, roll onto her belly, and then cry. Sometimes she gets her legs going, but she's not interested in crawling yet!
- Is demonstrating some stranger anxiety around family and friends that she doesn't see on a daily basis
- LOVES to be held by my parents. They're just about the only people she doesn't get whiny around
- Is having some separation anxiety issues with Mommy. Anytime I leave the room or when I'm too far for her to touch me, she starts crying. It's sweet, but it's very hard to get anything done!
- LOVES to look at the baby in the mirror
- LOVES dogs! Bella is the first thing she looks for. She loves to pet her and rub her feet on her!
- Likes to play peek-a-boo with blankets
- Doesn't have any teeth.... and no signs of any!
- LOVE LOVE LOVES her monkey blanket. She holds it when she's tired and holds on tight even when she's sleeping
- Sleeps from 8:30pm-7am and wakes up once or twice in that time. Sometimes Bryan can go in and put her pacifier back in her mouth and she'll fall back asleep, but most of the time she will scream until I come in and feed her
- Wears 9 months clothes. We're retiring some of her pajamas every once in a while. Some run smaller than others!
- Wears size 3 diapers

Nora loves to eat! She eats:
- Pears
- Bananas
- Sweet Potatoes
- Squash
- Avocados
- Carrots
- Green Beans
- Sweet Peas
- Apples
- Oatmeal
- We've found that she will be much more likely to eat these foods if you mix a fruit and a vegetable together. She loves oatmeal and a fruit too!
- I've tried to give her bits of toast and parts of our dinner, but she isn't quite interested yet. She just likes to play with the food, which is fine!
- We are still breastfeeding with ZERO formula! I have to say, being a full time working nursing mom has been so difficult. My 6 month silver boobies are a HUGE accomplishment! It takes a TON of dedication to find the time to pump 2-3 times a day, label and bag the milk, and freeze it. Then I get home and I belong to this little beautiful girl who misses her mommy and her milk all day. When I get home from work (and on the weekends) she will nurse every 20-30 minutes.

I miss this little munchkin every single day that I'm gone, but I do love my job. I'm starting to finally settle into my position and I'm starting to get my own families to work with. It feels nice to be able to make a difference for families and bring home some money for my own family.
Bryan and I are starting to babyproof the house. We've moved our DVD shelf into our bedroom and we're looking to get a TV stand with doors. Nora will be crawling soon... and we need to be ready!
With our tax money we're hoping to buy Momma a new car! We need something newer and safer for munchkin and her future brother or sister. I've had nothing but problems with my car since I got it. It's time to get with it and provide Nora with some safe transportation!
Life has been good. Nora grows and changes everyday. It's hard to keep up!
