10 Months

I can't believe my baby is already 10 months old! She is getting bigger and smarter every single day.

We celebrated Nora's first Easter this month. She loved it! It's a good excuse to get together with the family and catch up.
Nora loves her Daddy

The Beoughers

Easter was such a beautiful day! The weather was so nice. Nora loves being outside.
Nora's Aunts
This month we took a trip out to the Michigan City Lighthouse Mall. Nora loves riding in her stroller so she really enjoyed being outside.... and Mom enjoyed shopping!

Nora is

  • Still in 12 month clothes, but making her way into 18 month pajamas
  • Still wearing size 3 diapers
  • Crawls EVERYWHERE
  • Pulls herself to stand on EVERYTHING
  • Can walk around the room behind a walker toy
  • Likes to walk while holding our hands
  • LOVES puffs and those baby Cheeto things
  • Drinks very diluted apple juice from a sippy cup like a pro
  • LOVES stroller rides and long baths
  • Is very ticklish!
  • HATES being told "No", being moved from somewhere she's not supposed to be, getting dressed, and getting out of the bathtub
  • Says "Bell" and loves her buddy, Bella
  • Says "Dada" (but no Mama yet!)
  • Has 2 bottom teeth
  • Rips her socks off every chance she gets
  • Gives sloppy, wet kisses!
  • Giggles like CRAZY when we get down on the floor and chase her down the hallway. She LOVES this game and giggles when we catch her and cover her with kisses.

Mom's cuddle bug
Nora loves to eat everything that we eat. She's getting more and more brave at what she will try. One night we were eating chocolate cake and of course Nora wanted some. We only gave her a little bit but holy cow... she LOVED it.

Miss Nora is still nursing. We're at 10+ months and going strong. She eats a lot more food and less bottles when I'm at work, but when I get home, she loves to nurse. It makes me feel good because when I get home from work and on weekends, she loves to snack and be close to me. I'll take all the cuddles I can get!

It's hard to believe we have been in our house for 1 year already! We have been doing small projects every weekend and now it's time to do some landscaping! While Bryan does yard work, we like to sit on the porch and watch. Nora loves sitting in her stroller and looking around. We put some water in her tray, gave her some bath toys, and she's entertained for a while!

I love this picture. I started putting some toys and a book in Nora's crib so that when she wakes up, she has something to do (and Mom can sleep a little longer!) She LOVES books.

We have started giving Nora more and more solids. She does okay with them and luckily she still enjoys purees. We give her oatmeal with fruit for breakfast, fruits and veggies for lunch, and then fruits, veggies, and solid food for dinner. She enjoys bananas, green beans, noodles, little bits of meat, rice, beans, and shredded cheese. Most of it ends up in her seat or on the floor, but she loves feeding herself.

And she goes CRAZY for little bites of desserts. She's a big fan of chocolate pudding!

Miss Nora pulls herself to stand with such ease now. Another development I've noticed is that she can slowly ease herself back down to the floor even when she has something in each hand. She's getting so big!

This girl is a dancer! Anytime she plays music on her toys or she hears it from somewhere else, she gets moving! It's hilarious to see her shaking her butt. Sometimes she just "raises the roof". So funny :)

She's getting a little too big for her jumper, but she will go in there occasionally! She is a bouncer! She loves to jump up and down in her crib. Of course, this makes me nervous because I'm afraid she'll hit her mouth on the crib, but she does just fine.

This girl LOVES books. She has a favorite book that she loves for us to read over and over and over. It's called, "A Baby is Born" and you better believe I can recite that entire book from memory. It's adorable. She will find the book, slide it on the floor while she crawls to us and then hold it up, and put her arms up so she can sit on our lap while we read it. She loves to turn the pages. I hope she's a reader like Bryan and I. I want her to share the same love we have for reading!

I can't believe we're already planning her first birthday! It's coming up so quickly. I'm so excited!

9 Months!

I can hardly believe that it has already been 9 months since my little booger was born. She has made my life complete. Sometimes I wonder how many times I have kissed her in her lifetime... and I bet its millions! I kiss her so much. I just never take one day for granted. She's my little monkey :)

Nap Time on Mom

Eating mac and cheese at Noodles&Company

Taking a nap with Dad

She has learned SO much in a month. From 8-9 months she perfected her crawling, started waving bye-bye, pulled herself to stand, "Woof"ed like a dog, and says Bell (for Bella). Holy cow! That's so much to learn in one short month!
Munching on her crib

My pretty girl

This kid LOVES to eat! She eats just about anything you put in front of her. She's addicted to her puffs!

Miss Lenora Quinn:

  • Knows her name and turns to look at me when I say it (Usually telling her to get out of something!)
  • Can pull herself to stand in her crib, the couch, or chairs
  • Waves bye-bye
  • Says "Bell" when she's excited to see what Bella is doing and then "woof"s like a dog
  • Crawls like a pro..... EVERYWHERE! This kid is fast!
  • Loves food! She eats just about any kind of baby food that we give her. She LOVES puffs though
  • Loves her bath. You'll usually find me trying to wrangle a screaming, pruney baby into a warm towel because she didn't want to get out!
  • She likes to wrestle during diaper changes and when we change her clothes
  • She has ONE little tooth on the bottom! (and it's sharp!)
  • Gets up quite a few times a night recently -_-
  • Is wearing 12 month clothes and size 3 diapers

This kid LOVES to pull her socks off

We're still breastfeeding with zero formula. Thinking back to how little faith I had in myself, I am extremely proud of myself for nursing this little one 9 months and counting. Before you ask, "Well, when are you going to stop?".... Just don't :) She loves nursing and we will continue until we're both ready to stop!

We are slowly getting her play room finished. It's getting impossible to keep her contained in the living room!

She LOVES being outside. She likes to "eat" the wind. She cracks me up!
My chub chub

Swinging with Dad

In the morning we can hear her playing in her crib and talking to herself. It's so cute though because she stands at the edge of the crib by the door and waits for us to come get her. We're usually greeted by a huge smile and a hug :)

She LOVES to look outside. If we have the front door open, we'll usually find her sitting by the door watching the neighbors.

Happy 9 Months, Nora!

8 Months

I can't believe Nora is 8 months old already. Where has the time gone!? My once tiny newborn is now a talking, moving, crazy kid with her momma's personality! All in one week she started wearing 12 month clothes, started waving bye-bye, cut her first tooth, and started to crawl. We've been busy, busy, busy!

Miss Nora cut her first tooth this week... and she let us know it! She loves my nursing necklace, cold teethers, and our fingers.

Nora LOVES her baths and screams every time I take her out of it. She likes to splash me!

This past week, my little monkey started to crawl! She doesn't go too far yet, but she's getting the hang of it!

She still LOVES to jump! She's a jumping machine!

Miss Nora:
  • Is 18 pounds 8 ounces
  • Is 27 inches long
  • Is still in size 3 diapers
  • Wears 12 month clothes
  • LOVES: chewing on apple slices, baby food, tiny bites of mom's dessert, baths, her feet, Bella, and going to my mom's house
  • NOT A FAN OF: Mom leaving the room, being on her belly, getting dressed, getting out of the bath
  • Is getting her new big girl car seat this week!

We are still nursing... without formula! I'm so lucky to have such a good nurser. She hasn't shown me ANY signs of stopping any time soon.... and I'm perfectly okay with that!

She is such a Momma's girl... but yet all she ever says is, "Dadadadadadadadada!"

Happy 8 months, my Tooter Fruiter! I love you!
